DirectLOGIC 205: Serial Remote I/O

With the DirectLOGIC DL205 programmable logic controller (PLC), remote I/O applications are easy to do with remote I/O bases that can be located up to 1,200 meters (at 19.2 K baud) from the local base. We offer both serial and Ethernet Remote I/O master and slave modules. Serial products include those listed below.

REMOTE I/O MASTER AND SLAVE MODULES

Remote I/O Master (D2-RMSM)

The Remote I/O Master Module supports both RM-NET and SM-NET protocols. A Remote I/O system consists of one master (D2-RMSM) and up to seven slave modules (D2-RSSS below) using the RM-Net protocol, or up to 31 slaves using the SM-NET protocol. The D2-RMSM module has non-removable terminals and uses a shielded twisted pair communication cable (24 AWG minimum).

Remote I/O Slave (D2-RSSS)

The Remote I/O Slave Module supports both RM-NET and SM-NET protocols. Slaves are installed in the CPU slot of a standard DL205 base. The unit has non-removable terminals and uses a shielded twisted pair communication cable (24 AWG minimum). It also has a built-in RS232C communications port that can be used for programming (with SM-Net protocol only).

Terminator Universal Field I/O

The Terminator I/O line is a practical field I/O system that offers the following triple-stack terminal bases and hot-swap modules:

• T1K-01AC - AC Power Supply, 120/ 240 VAC (minimum 1 per system required)
• T1K-01DC - DC Power Supply, 12/ 24 VDC (minimum 1 per system required)
• T1K-08B - Half size terminal base, 3-row/ 24-pole screw clamp terminals, 12 AWG maximum
• T1K-16B - Full size terminal base, 3-row/ 48-pole screw clamp terminals, 12 AWG maximum
• T1K-08B-1 - Half size terminal base, 3-row/ 24-pole spring clamp terminals, 14 AWG maximum
• T1K-16B-1 - Full size terminal base, 3-row/ 48-pole spring clamp terminals, 14 AWG maximum
• T1K-10CBL - Base expansion cable, 100 cm (3.28 ft.) without 24 VDC pins
• T1K-10CBL-1 - Base expansion cable, 100 cm (3.28 ft.) with 24 VDC pins
• T1K-05CBL-LL - Left-side to Left-side base expansion cable, 50 cm (1.64 ft.) without 24 VDC pins
• T1K-05CBL-LL-1 - Left-side to Left-side base expansion cable, 50 cm (1.64 ft.) with 24 VDC pins
• T1K-05CBL-RR - Right-side to Right-side base expansion cable, 50 cm (1.64 ft.) without 24 VDC pins
• T1K-05CBL-RR-1 - Right-side to Right-side base expansion cable, 50 cm (1.64 ft.) with 24 VDC pins

• T1K-08ND3 - 8 point 12-24 VDC current sinking/sourcing input module, 4 points per common

• T1K-16ND3 - 16 point 12-24 VDC current sinking/sourcing input module, 4 points per common
  (Use with T1K-16B or T1K-16B-1 terminal base.)
  
  
• T1K-08NA-1 - 8 point 110 VAC input module, 4 points per common
  (Use with T1K-08B or T1K-08B-1 terminal base.)
  
  
• T1K-16NA-1 - 16 point 110 VAC input module, 4 points per common

Discrete Output Modules

• T1K-08TD1 - 8 point 12-24 VDC current sinking output module, 4 points per common, 1.0 A/point, 2 replaceable fuses (T1K-FUSE-1)

• T1K-16TD2-1 - 16 point 12-24 VDC current sourcing output module, 4 points/common, 1.0 A/point, 4 replaceable fuses.

  Note: Replaces T1K-16TD2 with improved derating. Not a direct replacement; simple device wiring change if used as replacement part for T1K-16TD2. See technical specifications.
  
  
• T1K-08TA - 8 point 110-240 VAC output module, 4 points per common, 1.0 A/point, 2 replaceable fuses (T1K-FUSE-2)
  (Use with T1K-08B or T1K-08B-1 terminal base.)
  
  
• T1K-08TAS - 8 point 110-240 VAC output module, Isolated 1 point per common, 2.0 A/point, 8 replaceable fuses (T1K-FUSE-3)
  (Isolation requires use of T1K-16B or T1K-16B-1 terminal base.)
  
  
• T1K-16TA - 16 point 110-240 VAC output module, 4 points per common, 1.0A/point, 4 replaceable fuses (T1K-FUSE-2)

• T1K-16TR - 16 point 5-30 VDC or 5-240 VAC output module, 16 Form A (SPST) relays, 4 points per common, 2.0 A/point max., 4 replaceable fuses (T1K-FUSE-2)

• T1K-08TRS - 8 point 5-30 VDC or 5-240 VAC isolated relay output module, 8 Form A (SPST) relays, 1 point per common, 7.0 A/point max., 8 replaceable fuses (T1K-FUSE-3)

EXTERNAL POWER SUPPLIES

• FA-24PS - This compact power supply accepts 85-265 VAC input and provides up to 1.2 A output current at 24 VDC.
  NOTE: The FA-24PS is not intended to be used to power DC-powered PLCs.

TERMINATOR I/O REMOTE I/O BASE CONTROLLER

• T1K-RSSS - DirectLOGIC Remote I/O Base Controller for Terminator I/O base.
  Supports both RM-NET and SM-NET protocols. Uses shielded twisted pair communication cable (24 AWG minimum). Built-in RS232C serial port functional when using SM-NET protocol.
